Chocolate Protein Porridge

Friends, it’s happened again. I’ve become utterly obsessed with a breakfast combo and can’t seem to shake the habit and quite frankly don’t want to. I’ve been making this concoction almost daily for the past 2 months and it honestly sets me up for the day like no other. High in protein and insanely good flavour, you may feel like Beyonce after eating it.

  1. 1 cup rolled oats
  2. 1 cup brown rice milk
  3. 1 tsp cinnamon
  4. 1 tsp turmeric powder
  5. pinch black pepper
  6. 1 scoop chocolate protein powder (I used Strippd Vegan Protein)
  7. 1 tbsp cacao powder
  8. pinch salt
  9. 3 tbsp liquid egg whites (optional)
  10. 1/2 banana
  1. 1. In a pan, cover your oats with water and allow to simmer gently.
  2. 2. Add your cinnamon, turmeric, salt, pepper (this makes the turmeric work it's magic), protein powder and cacao powder and mix until the water is absorbed.
  3. 3. Add your milk and stir well.
  4. 4. Chop the banana and stir into the mix with the egg whites.
  5. 5. Allow to cook until slightly cakey smelling incredible.
  6. 6. Top with frozen raspberries, cacao nibs and endless peanut butter!
